We use Royal Mail for almost all our deliveries and have done for nearly ten years.
It's what enables us to offer such low or even free shipping rates to our customers and over the period, of course we've had the occasional thing go missing, but generally our customers have told us that they receive their parcels, through their letterboxes on time and in good condition.
The strikes at Royal Mail have caused slight delays in the previous few months but in December, the delays we're seeing are serious. As of today (14/12/22), we're still helping customers with orders placed in November.
We've looked at other couriers, but they're all overstretched too which not only means they have delays of their own, but also that they're increasing prices. We hope you understand we just can't offer £1.29 shipping rates when we're having to pay £6 or £7.
There is some good news! What we have found is that Royal Mail TRACKED deliveries are getting through generally on time (once they're been picked up from us). For example, if we pack your order on a Tuesday and there are strikes on Tuesday and Wednesday, the item would leave us on Thursday and you would normally 🤞receive a TRACKED 24 parcel on Friday.
We STRONGLY recommend choosing this service at checkout for the time being. We've temporarily reduced the minimum order for FREE Tracked 24 shipping to £18 and we've also reduced the upgrade prices for smaller orders.
We really appreciate your loyalty, particularly through this challenging time.
